"i am" character poem

opfp2 Pictures, Images and Photos

I am an empty station
I wonder when the dusty wind will stop
I hear bombs falling, and water splashing
I see dead bodies everywhere
I want the attacks to stop
I am an empty station

soldiers Pictures, Images and Photos

I pretend to land on the beach that has sunlight hitting the clear water
I feel like a wheat-color jar without air
I touch my boots of lead beneath my body
I worry trains are parked somewhere else
I cry when innocent people fail to survive
I am an empty station

sunset Pictures, Images and Photos

I understand theres a far distance from home
I say my mind is dying numb
I dream of never being killed, or wounded
I try breaking my fear into small pieces of glass
I hope my fear goes away with the passing wind
I am an empty station

i am poem

stars Pictures, Images and Photos
I am the bright star that lies upon your head
I wonder how people's last days would end
I hear cars crashing, but I noticed its just a glass
I see peoples hearts shatter when they land on an empty edge
I want our friendship, delight, and respect to last
I am the bright star that lies upon your head.

love Pictures, Images and Photos

I pretend nothing goes wrong in my daily life
I feel his jumping heart every day, and night
I touch his sweaty hands dripping from his and mine
I worry his love to me will be left blind
I cry when problems appear into my fragile life
I am the bright star that lies upon your head.

heart Pictures, Images and Photos

I understand stars won't shine and last forever
I say "give me the star that will lead me forever"
I dream of him and i eternally together
I try to follow the brightest path ever
I hope that bright star will always lie ahead
I am the bright star that lies upon your head.

I Love You! Pictures, Images and Photos

Congressional Medal of Honor

Congressional Medal of Honor

Do you know what id the Congressional Medal of Honor? A Congressional Medal of Honor basically is an award for those who have risked their life’s to save others, and to thank them for their bravery, and their courage.

For me the Congressional Medal of Honor means the highest honor of an American. It would mean a high honor/award, higher than the president. It means to get the respect that they deserve and to always carry, and it might actually mean something more; it would mean that they are a loving hero.

I think it takes a lot of courage to be awarded for the Congressional Medal of Honor. Courage would be one good reason for receiving the Medal of Honor for risking their life to help and save other soldiers. This also includes a lot of hope for them, and they were able to stand up for their fears.

The statement ”Sometimes, I think it was easier winning the Medal of Honor, then it is to wear it ”. I think it would mean that I was just doing what I was suppost to be doing, and it all happened so quickly that I never would have thought of receiving a high honor for what I did. And since now you have the prize which is the Congressional Medal of Honor that its difficult to just wear it, because risking my life, wasn’t easy. So in this case wearing it wouldn’t make it any easier.

In conclusion I think that those who have done something special for others, deserve this medal of honor, because there’s not a lot of people out there like them, and that’s why we thank them with an award.

Thank You Letter

Dear Corporal Tibor Rubin

Hi, my name is Daisy Martinez I've been living in Chicago ,Illinois all my life and I now attend at Farragut High School. Well, I just wanted to thank you for all of your courage and bravery that youcarried while at battle. You were one of the good soldiers that had the heart to help other people to fight for their lifes. The fact that you were captured by Chinese and beaten up, makes me want to admire you because, after the bad moments you went through during that period time you got back on your feet and fought hard to get everything back together. Its just amazing how theres people that really care for other and their country and not just for themselves. I wish you good luck enjoying life.

Cincerely, Daisy Martinez
